Policies for Students, Tutors & Payments | Impact Edu PLT
1.1 Liability: Impact Tutor shall not be held responsible for any misconduct committed by students during classes.
1.2 Registration Rights: Impact Tutor reserves the right to withhold or cancel any registration with prior notice if deemed necessary.
1.3 Class Cancellation Policy
Impact Tutor will cancel a booked class under the following circumstances:
- We are unable to find a suitable tutor within fourteen (14) working days.
- Payment has failed or has not been received.
- Payment information cannot be verified.
- Any specific circumstances that necessitate cancellation.
1.4 Service Modification: Impact Tutor reserves the right to cancel, amend, or postpone Tutor Classes for specific reasons or without reason at any time. We also reserve the right to modify any form of service, promotion, or information offered, with or without notice to the customer.
1.5 Trial Classes
- Limit: Physical Trial Classes are limited to ONE (1) session per registered student.
- Duration: A Physical Trial Class must last for a minimum of ONE AND A HALF HOURS (1.5 hours).
- Tutor Assignment: Each Trial Class will be managed by a tutor deemed suitable and available to conduct the session.
- Scheduling: Physical Trial Classes will be held no later than fourteen (14) days from the date of registration.
All tutors registered with Impact Tutor must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Must be a Malaysian citizen aged 18 years and above.
- Possess at least a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with excellent results in the subject applied to teach.
- Credit in Bahasa Malaysia / Bahasa Melayu (including a pass in the Oral Test) at the SPM level or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government.
- Possess a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in any field (Science/Social Science) recognized by the government from a local higher education institution or an equivalent qualification.
- Possess teaching skills relevant to primary school, secondary school, or university levels.
- Have a stable internet connection and electronic devices such as a laptop, computer, or tablet.
- Possess a vehicle for mobility purposes (strictly for physical classes).
At Impact Tutor, we understand that learning and educational plans do not always go as expected. Therefore, we provide facilities for you to cancel ongoing packages or receive rebates for missed classes, subject to specific conditions.
3.1 Class Cancellation & Rebates
Every month, we review all classes to ensure they were conducted according to the agreed schedule. If a class was not held as scheduled, we will verify with the student and tutor if a replacement class will be arranged for the following month. If not, the hours for the unconducted class will be returned as a rebate on the bill balance for that month.
3.2 Package Cancellation Notice
To protect the welfare of our tutors, we require you to provide notice at least seven (7) days prior to the package cancellation date. This allows our tutors to reschedule and provides them the opportunity to offer their services elsewhere. Any classes scheduled to take place within seven days of the cancellation notice are considered valid and billable.
3.3 Billing Disputes
We strive to ensure all bills issued are accurate, fair, and in accordance with agreements. You may contact us regarding any doubts in an invoice before making payment. After payment is made, you have a period of fourteen (14) days from the receipt date to request a refund based on reasonable grounds or doubts.
3.4 Non-Refundable Situations
Impact Tutor does not allow refund claims for the following situations, including but not limited to:
- Classes or paid activities that have already taken place.
- Classes scheduled to occur within the 7-day package cancellation notice period.
- The student fails to attend the scheduled class two or more times within a monthly billing cycle.
- The student does not show academic improvement.
3.5 Refund Claim Process
- Contact Us Immediately: Reach out via WhatsApp / Phone / SMS (017-2110586) or email at hello@impactedu.com.my. Briefly state the issue experienced.
- Verification: If contacting via written medium, we will respond within 24 Hours. We may ask you to provide a copy of the proof of payment.
- Approval Status: We will inform you of the approval status of your refund request.
- Disbursement: If your refund claim is accepted, we will return the funds to you via the original payment method within seven (7) days.
Impact Tutor and Impact Edu PLT shall not be held liable for any loss or damage experienced as a result of using the information provided on this portal.
